Environmental Impact ratings for all consumer products
Just Think has just started work on an article/short guide on deploying environmental ratings for consumer products online and directly on labels. This is an important piece of work as it enables consumers to choose environmentally friendly or low impact products over those that have a greater impact on the environment. This is the only way significant changes can be lodged against the degradation of the environment that includes consumer choice. People can vote with their feet and as such companies that embrace reducing their environmental footprint will ensure the support they get from their customers. Consumption is a reality but consumers can and will support global well-being given that they are informed. It is now time for governments and corporations the world over to embrace this and proactively rate themselves and their products. Those who don’t will eventually be rated by external agencies as the full impact on our environment is experienced as this century unfolds.
